Took the kayak for a late evening outing. Tossed a wacky rig and tube jig at shallow points around the island for a couple of hours without any luck. Saw some fish on my graph in the main lake channel and decided to throw the slobberknocker with green pumpkin Razor ShadZ trailer and hooked into a handful of LM bass right away.

I was out a few days ago. conditions were rough on the water, lots of boat traffic as well as high winds made trolling and trying to hold position difficult. We managed to catch a few large mouth bass while we were out. Flipping over hangs, shade lines, and pads produced a few small to medium sized ones. (4/0 EWG hook, Rage Bug Blk/Blu flake, 1/2oz bullet weight.) We also caught a few smaller ones throwing an under spin and a swim jig in front of the weed lines. Some things I would've changed is use straight braid line instead of fluro when flipping. The cover is thick this time of year and easy to get wrapped up in when your hooked up.
