During the evening hours Bass were caught with a skirted jig and craw trailer in natural green pumpkin colors. Toss up to the shoreline and slowly retrieve back to the boat.

We switched up fishing from bass to bluegills and crappies as I took my 2 year old out fishing on the boat for the first time. I went out early to look for schooling fish deep but did not have much luck. We found a mix of crappies and bluegills in about 5-6 FOW in some thick vegetation and pulled in a mix with a 1/32 crappie jig with either a crappie scrub or chunks of worm on a bobber. It's not always about the quality of the fish but getting kids hooked by always having something on the end of their line.
