My PB came on a cold windy day in some shallow water not too far off the main lake. We started off by fishing in a cove as we thought some of the fish have started to move back but after hitting a few different areas we decided to move towards the main lake. Water clarity had a nice green tint with a 8 to 12 inch visibility. This 6.8 lb bass was caught with a shad color OG Rocco that dives to around 5 ft with 10-12 lb flurocarbon. I personally like to spool my Shimano Metanium MGL with Sunline FC sniper. For this technique, I like to use the Shimano Expride B in a 6'10 medium power, moderate action. The shorter length rod allows me to make short accurate cast and the moderate action helps keeps the fish pinned.

Actual rod used is the Orochi XX Ronin spinning rod. Actual bait used is the Megabass X-80 jr. in the Elegy Bone color. Took a while to dial in what they wanted but apparently they don’t want the jerk, jerk, pause, or any other cadence at the moment. Just a slow, steady retrieve on that 6.2.1 Miravel and they smoke it. Also did notice I am catching spots now in this same area I only caught smallies and the occasional large mouth. Have not caught spots there in the past.
