I have had success post spawn fishing the submerged vegetation with either a shad colored willow blade spinner bait with no trailer or a shad colored swim jig with swim bait trailer. I have caught a lot of aggressive male large mouth bass this way especially when fry is present. Less than 6ft of water has been where the majority of the strikes have been.
