Just fishing from shore this morning and I'm happy to say that the frog bite is back on. Loads of pike out in the weeds were hitting the spro flapping frog and the bass were shallow hitting the smallest live target hollow body frog.

Still a lot of vegetation along the shorelines and surrounding the “islands” for late August, however it’s not quite matted enough for punching effectively. We ended up cruising about 15-25’ from shore and was able to effectively throw spinnerbaits with fluke bait trailers and Texas rigged worms along the weed lines. If fishing within the vegetation, frogging may have been a good option as well but we didn’t end up going that route today. Next time!
