I was hoping to fish the lake before the weeds & milfoil hit the surface but it happened quickly. It appeared they had sprayed the lake recently but that hadn't killed off any weeds. With the wind I had to fish the inside weedline, docks and timber. I wound up catching about 10 fish, a few 2lbs and the biggest 2.5lbs. Water temps were 65-69 degrees.

I took my kayak out here recently to target Largemouth. The shallows are choked out right now with milfoil and pads. I caught a few from the thick stuff on a frog but my best bites came on a swimjig while working it through the milfoil.

First time at this lake. The algae was so thick the water was solid green. I’m running a basic kayak with no electronics, so I just followed contour lines on the map and threw everything I had at vegetation that hit the surface. One fish but that’s all it takes for a good day!

Dam
I first tried fishing on the Peltier Lake dock. Lots of underwater vegetation fishing from the dock with only a small largemouth strike. Lots of bluegills and sunnies though. I then migrated a bit North and went shore fishing on the public lake/creek water access. Below the dam area cast towards the cattails, I had caught some decent 2lber - 3lber Northerns. Beware, there are lots of underwater structures directly in front of the dam so it's not a good area for swimbaits and open hook setups.

Fished right by the creek access, casted 10ft away and landed a good 2lber largemouth...sadly too many bullheads.
