I found a ton of fish but the lack of current made the outing a typical Tennessee river experience. Without current the Tennessee river is fame or famine but I was able to catch a 3 lbs largemouth early and later in the day I caught four smallmouth and five spotted bass. My biggest player of the day was definitely the drop shot.

The typical grass patches you would normally find on this lake are quite the rarity, so you will need to look for additional ways to find bass. While fishing, there wasn't really any current pull from the dams, so the ledge bite was really hard to target. Fishing was tough and water was calm; but I found success using weedless wacky rigs on laydowns and heavy vegetation before the heavy heat of the day.
