Largemouth BassTechniqueUmbrella RigsSeasonWinterStructureBrush PilesLake dropped 5 degrees since last weekend and today was post front conditions. Bite was tough, lots of chasers and few takers. Managed a few LMB live scoping brush piles and throwing an A rig. Had to slow roll it. No smallie takers today.

Largemouth BassTechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructurePointsFished for a few hours today. Main focus was hitting main lake points near creek openings. Slow bite today and only manage a few short SM bass and a few good size skip jacks. The jacks were about the same size as the bass (8-10"). Should have used them for live bait :)

All came cranking a 3XD in shizzle pattern. Most came off laydowns and stumps and one came off a grass line edge. Water is at least 5-6ft below pool.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureDamPost- Spawn the smallmouth sit right under the dam and the tailrace. Drive as far up into it as you can and position your boat on the sides in the current breaks. Heavy spinnerbaits and large swimbaits work well pulling them through the current.
