Alternated between a Carolina rig and a wobble head with a Berkeley Crazy legs. All keepers came on back corner of docks in 4-8ft. Boat was sitting in 20. Also found a good shad spawn at the mouth of yellow creek that ate a chatter bait and spinnerbait.

I was able to put together a 13-3 limit on a tough day by focusing on secondary rounded points with chunk rock or gravel in coves protected from the wind. The fish seemed to be stacked on these points as they staged to make their way to the back of the coves to spawn. A cold front and high winds kept the water cool and slowed down the bite. Working the jig across and down the points repeatedly was key.

This time of the year fish are looking for a big meal before they go in bed. Locate grass in the middle of coves and drag it through the grass as these fish are using it as a passage way!
