I caught a decent amount of small mouth focusing on current breaks just off the main river, depth didn't seem to play too much of a factor. If you were able to find good current breaks that had shad present, walking a spook in the slack part of the break was a good way to get bites. I would also rotate in a shad colored jerkbait and a ned rig when they were not committing to spook after catching a few.

Drop shot along weed edges. Cold front came through slowed the bite but there were still a few big perch in that 13-in range.

Looking for sparse eelgrass that had larger-sized balls of shad in them was the key to finding the bigger largemouth and smallmouth. Making LONG casts with the big Shower Blow was key, as the water was very clear. By using the 40 lb Smackdown Braid you can make long casts and get a solid hook up on the bass.
