Fishing early morning and late afternoon has produced better quality fish. Targeting deep structure and grass lines with a spinnerbait has been the ticket for larger fish. Drop shots and under spins also produce a lot of bites, just not the size. Fish can be caught at depths between 10 and 40 feet. Find the structure and grass edges for best success.

Evening bite is hot! After the solar eclipse, the fish were closed lip. This evening was a different story. We caught at least 30 fish in 30+ feet of water using the NED. Fall in these desert lakes are better in the afternoon / evening. The fish were hitting it on the fall and on the bottom. I use a 1/10oz Ned head to keep it on top of the grass.
