Fishing was tough in the evening. The fish were chasing shad balls all evening, but they weren't too interested in what I was throwing. I caught a few smaller bass on spinnerbaits and swim jigs, but the biggest bass caught finally came on a buzzbait at sunset.

Pitched the 10" Bullworm into the reeds and under the cypress trees and held on for the fun ride. Pegging the weight helped tremendously to keep from getting tangled and allowed me to make more efficient casts.

Went out on Memorial Day evening and it was a scorcher. Despite a 2 mph wind, my biggest fish came on Owners Flashy Swimmer with an Xzone 4" Swammer and also a spinnerbait. I was getting bit on a Strike King 10" Bullworm Texas Rigged as well, but I could not get hooked up and keep them pinned.

Had a nice session in the evening after heavy rainfall. They were chasing a black and blue swimjig from 4 pm to 5 pm around isolated cypress trees. As the sun set, they were hitting dragon flies and bait on the surface, so I tossed that Spro poppin frog in there for a 3lber and a few 2lbers.

Started the morning running the Whopper Plopper along weed edges and past cypress trees. As the sun went up, switched to shakey heads and jigs tight to brush and tree cover.
