Was a tough bite but the water temps had cooled off. Started with top water frogs but had little luck over matted grass. Had to find weed lines and punch emergent vegetation with Texas rigs for the first fish. Was very sporadic on where you could find fish. Moved to casting swim baits along grass edges to find a few more fish. Took covering water to find active fish with the wind out of the southwest.

Caught several fish in the morning, throwing a frog on top of matted grass near the edges. Also caught a few fish as the sun came up on some deep rocks, dragging an all-terrain tackle, mighty head jig with a Yum dinger.
