Caught 6 bass over 3.5 lbs. 2 over 4. None of the fish were on Beds but just hanging close to them. This Fish was off a ledge and I think still in the prespawn. No spawning marks on Fish. Beautiful in fact. Lake has turned over with the extreme change from cold to hot Weather temps. Fish are very skitterish therefore we were long casting to them instead of short pitches on top of them.

Bass are in between their spawning patterns and summer patterns. Look for them along weed lines and seeking shade during the heat of the day. Use a 6th Sense Crush Flat 75XD to search for them along area where they can seek cover in the early mornings hours. Just chuck and wind with a reel, reel, pause cadence. You’ll be on them in no time.

Could not locate any Fish on Beds. Caught this one in close proximity, holding in the vegetation growing around the hump. Utilized a Z-Man Micro Skirt jig head with a Minnowz (the deal). Not in List

I fish Silver quite a bit. I have caught 2 smallies in 20 years. However, the two have been within a year. I also had a few fishing buddies tell me the same. I am optimistic for the Smallie population in Silver. Fish was off a point. Sandy bottom around 7 feet near the vegetation line.

Often tiger musky are caught while fishing for bass. This is a great way to find them. They are usually in less than 20’ of water. If you want to target tiger musky specifically, there isn’t a better lure to use than a Mepps Musky Killer. The black / orange / yellow combo is the best I’ve found. No need to use a steel leader. Just chuck and retrieve. Be sure to do a figure 8 at the boat with your lure. Often they will hit it on the second or third figure 8.
