Quickly pulled the chatterbait over the Lilly pads they would jump out of the water after it. Then the spinner bait work the edge of the pads. Fish are definitely putting on the weight for winter. Water temp is slowly dropping.

Woohoo! 🥳 I tried lots of presentations, in the end...the finicky fish this day re-acted to a chatterbait best.

Boated an 18.5" and a 18.0". Lost another big one that went airborne on this combo. Boated a handful handful of smaller bass also. The strikes were hard, the bass wanted this today!

Interestingly, crappies love this bait as well. Worked high in the water column with start and stop retrieve. Both bass and crappies hit in the pause. Used Suffix Revolve 10# braid with fluorocarbon leader. A great multi-species bait.

I was getting some shallow flipping a Crush City Clean Up Craw shallow under lily pads. The. When that died down I started throwing the Dirty Jigs California jig. It has a heavy hook so you can rip it through any vegetation. With the Crush City Clean Up Craw again as a trailer. The Bass started smoking it. Good luck.
