Work your bait dirt shallow along rip rap banks that have shad spawn activitiy going on have had most of my success closer to the main lake on points some can be cought in pockets all my fish were cought in a 100 yard stretch of rip rap

Smith Mountain Lake is still fishing very well. Most fish are coming on main lake or mouths of pockets and creeks. Most fish today came swimming a work through brush. The area I fished today was the upper part of the Roanoke river arm not far from Hardy boat ramp.

Fish is still great at Smith Mountain Lake. Most fish today came flipping a D bomb. The biggest fish came on a walking style topwater. The water is in the mid to high 70s and clear.

The lake was on fire this past weekend. I was catching fish on a Neko rig on the south end of the lake on docks that leads to deep water access. Spear point 1/0 GP Finesse hook with a 1/16 weight in the head

Water temp was 72 bait didn't come up until almost 1am 2 fish were cought on spinnerbait before bait came up to spawn then got a walking bait to work once the bait went down cought the rst of our fish on a crankbait all are bites an fish came from 10ft an less focused on main lake points

Cought multiple fish in 10ft an less on rocky points slow rolling a spinnerbait 3.5lbs being the biggest smallest was 2lbs the closer you are to the main lake the better
