    The smallmouth bass were crushing the Nessie while using a slow and steady retrieve. Unfortunately, it was late in the day before I figured out the bite, but it was exciting once I did.

    Catching some nice largemouth in upper areas of the lake on a white Terminator spinnerbait in laydowns. Got on the water about 7:00 and was culling by 11:00.

    Bite was good early. Turned off around 9:00 with a front coming through. Club tournament was won with 14 lb of smallmouth. We had 9-1/2 lb of largemouth with four fish.
