I fished Lake Guntersville May 12-15th for the MLF Pro Circuit event where I had a strong tournament and finished in 24th place. I was targeting fish that were eating bluegill off their beds using a Favorite Rods and reel spooled up with 15lb Seaguar Smackdown and a 10lb Tatsu leader. I would neko rig the Z-Man Bangstick or Zinkerz on a 2/0 Hayabusa FPP Straight hook and work it slowly around the bream beds. Day 1 I caught 18lbs and was sitting in really good shape. Day 2 I also mixed in a Green Pumpkin Jackhammer when the wind picked up to target the bigger bass and caught a 5.5lber on it. Overall the water temp started out in the low 70's in practice and rose to the low 80's by the end of the tournament. This tournament saw a full swing of the fish going from a few left on bed to eating bluegill and even offshore fishing if you wanted. Below you will find links to fish catches and video recaps of each day of this tournament:

Fish areas of deeper current with a heavy dropshot weight. Depths up to and beyond 40 feet in areas with rocky bottom and current breaks. Check your graphs and look for active feeding fish just off bottom and then drop your bait to them.

The final event of the 2021 MLF Pro Circuit was on the St. Lawrence River from July 29- Aug 1st. I had strong tournament finishing in 19th place with weights of 15.25, 19.75 and 18lbs over the course of the 3 days. In this event I was targeting shallow largemouth on docks with a Z-Man Goat on a Hayabusa 4/0 FPP Straight Shank hook and 1/2oz Angler tungsten weight. These fish were in 6' and less of water using the docks as shade and an ambush point. I then was fishing rocky flats with a dropshotted Z-Man Trick Shotz that was threaded on a 2/0 Hayabusa FPP Straight hook and 3/8oz Angler Tungsten weight. These fish were all in their summer mode. I had some shallower fish 10' and less and some deeper fishing in 20-35'.
