I fished for three and a half hours until it got dark. I caught 19 Pike and 7 bass. The two biggest bass came on the spinner bait with Billy Goat trailer. I got 3 bass on the Poppin Frog and 2 on the buzzbait. My plan of fishing the north reeds for the final hour was a bust. I only had one swirl on the buzzbait and that was it. It rained for about 15 minutes before the final hour of daylight and the fish just shut down. It got calm after the rain and I didn’t see activity on the surface anywhere. I did catch a 3lb bass on my final cast of the night in the area on the NW of the lake where I had all of the action tonight. Weeds in 3’-6’ was where I was getting the fish.

I got out at day break. Action was slow but steady on this warm windy morning. I fished semi protected water on the NW of the lake. Best lure for bass was a black spinner bait with a big Indiana Blade and Z-Man Goat trailer. I did catch two nice bass on the Popping Frog, but those were the only two bites I got in well over two hours of throwing a frog. I did get some pike on a buzzbait and spinner bait. My best 6 bass were over 17lbs, so I was catching quality size bass for the most part.

Fished for 3 and a half hours tonight until dark. I got one two pound bass right away on a point in Platte on the spinner bait and after that it was a pike fest. I spent the final two hours close to the reed edges on the NW of Sullivan. I got 3 bass on the Popping Frog and lost about 5; I was a little too keyed up to be at my best for frog fishing tonight. I caught 7 bass on the spinner bait. I got a 4lber on both the spinnerbait and frog. My best 6 bass weighed 18 lbs. I only got 3 pike in Sullivan.
