Largemouth BassTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonFallStructureLaydownsParalleling the end of lay downs produced a pretty productive bite for me yesterday before the storms. I scanned around the outside of the trees until I found the shad & the lay downs with wind blowing into them proved to be the most successful!

Largemouth BassTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonFallStructureDocksStarted fishing docks but this time around they were not on or tight to the docks. Rather out in front or in the shade line of the docks chasing these huge balls of shad. They were suspended right under the bait & a keitech swimbait with a 1/4 oz jighead seemed the best way to catch em! Also caught a ton of crappie & a few catfish that were under the docks & tight around pilings and ladders attached to the dock! Caught all our crappie on Bobby Garland jigs with a 1/16 oz jighead

Largemouth BassTechniqueDeep Diving Crankbaits (13'+)SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationThe dirty cool water yesterday made for some pretty good conditions yesterday! Pulled up into a few flats up the creek & started cranking the outside edges of submerged vegetation. These bass where positioned on the edges & in holes in the grass ambushing shad In about 6ft of water. Since the water was on the dirtier side I went with a Bandit 200 in Chartreuse/Green Back, Taco Shad is also another favorite!

Largemouth BassTechniqueSwim JigsSeasonFallStructureDocksPicked up some nice chunks today pitching jigs & swimming them back close to dock pilings! Some bites that came off dock posts I’d just pitch up there & that vertical fall seemed to be the way to catch em! Others would come out & just hammer it! All in all great day flipping docks.

Largemouth BassTechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationUsed a bandit 200 today around grass edges in the mouths of coves & around docks near coves. Had a good day they are definitely chasing shad. You could see them spread out across the surface as the evening came just busting the shad.

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonWinterStructureBrush PilesWas able to get out and get on'em this weekend to start the new year right! With all the rain the reservoir was high, but with the warm rain & 60 degree temps the water was 50 degrees all last week was around 45-44. So I worked my way up the creek flipping bushes that were now in the water, and trees that were laid over. Had the best success on the downside of the current

Largemouth BassTechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonWinterStructureRiver ChannelsCaught em in deep coves on a spinnerbait. They were suspended on the bottom under Shad. Had the best success fishing the wind blown side today

CrappieTechniqueVertical Jigging Shallow (0-9')SeasonWinterStructureRiver ChannelsBefore the water got too muddy. We had a field day chasing these little guys off drop offs and out of brush piles! No giants but managed a few decent ones 13” & 14”. You had to suspend the bait almost completely still for a bite and it took some time for them to commit. But great day
