Fishing Saturday with the Strike King KVD Squarebill 1.5 proved to be go to bait. I was somewhat surprised to see the water was in the low 70’s. Key presentation was to deflect through the top of the weeds to get the reaction bite. 5 out of the 6 bass were caught on the west end by Tichigan rd. around 3ft of water.

Fishing flats adjacent to basins in 5-8 ft of water, drifting crappie minnows under a float. Controlled drifts right outside the weed lines and in scattered weed clumps got me my bites today. Jig/minnow set 1-2’ off bottom got me multiple crappie as well as a few nice bluegill.
