TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSummerStructureReefReport is for the weekend of July 12th, 2025. Overall weather was steady, with high on Saturday of 75 and Sunday of 83 or so. Water temp was 73, winds were high, and changing. Winds started out, out of the north, and shifted to the south on Sunday. Overall fishing was very tough, no huge pattern. We seemed to do the best near weeds with good drop offs on a jack hammer. Caught a few on a craw or white tube, but was very hit and miss. The big thing to note was that much of the lake has a large amount of green slime on the bottom, most rocks, humps and boulders, as well as many shore sand/gravel were just full of it. I have a hunch this is why fishing was a bit off. We did get a nice walleye on a jackhammer as well.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureBouldersFish were super finicky on the back half of a big front blowing through. Usually takes 21-22lbs to win out here, but it only took 16 today. Took 3rd with 14 and change. The smallmouth were completely turned off today, but I was able to convince a couple of them to bite. They were keyed in hard on tiny crawfish, which I was able to mimic with a mango flatworm. Caught a couple largemouth doing the same thing. Fished boulders on the steepest drop offs I could find.
