I managed to take 2nd in the IKFC tournament this weekend. It was a windy postfrontal day on the water. The key for me was slow winding a swim jig around the edges of the curly pond weed. I caught a few on the weed edges around shallow rock reefs where bluegill were spawning as well.

Largemouth bass are still extremely active at Viking Lake. Early in the day has been the best time and fish are going after moving baits. Shallow diving crankbaits such as square squarebills are working great right now fishing areas with submerged vegetation and close to rocky areas.
