Flipping coontail clumps in 8-12' of water on the south east shore of the lake with a jig was very productive. The weeds were healthy, but sparse as in there were large gaps between the clumps of coontail. Some clumps could get multiple bites. Texas rigged rage bugs also got bites, but the jig was most effective.

Fished along the weed lines. Occasionally throwing the sleeper craw right into the submerged grass and popping it out will trigger a bite. For the times that sleeper craw was not working I switched to a more finesse style. Something like a neko or dropshot slowly dragging on the bottom.
