Won a small local derby. Fish came off of many different types of cover, the key thing was to fish very close to the cover. Fish did not stray far from it. The Ned rig and the BFE were the key baits today.

Won a local tournament flipping sparse submerged grass and laydowns. This lake deals with a very aggressive aquatic vegetation management program. The grass is sprayed and cut often, which really spreads the fish out with lack of grass. The key was flipping the Big Bite Baits BFE in areas others were overloooking. Every flip in a not-so-obvious location seemed to produce a bite. Besides flipping, I found one small clump of green healthy grass that had 2 solid bass. Lightly feathering a ned rig through the grass picked up those bites. Moral of the story.....Think outside the box! Tight lines!
