With a total of 3 boat landings and 4 parks, the lake is accessible via Old U.S. 10 on the west side or Old Wausau Rd on the east side. The flowage was created by a power dam along the Wisconsin River. The deepest point is 27 ft in the middle of the river channel, but most of the area is shallow with an average depth of 4.7 ft. Most of the shallow water consists of a sand and muck bottom. Common species of fish include crappie, bluegill, channel catfish, carp, muskie, northern pike, walleye, and bass. Common lures used are small crankbaits, inline spinners, jigs, and plastic worms. Max Depth: 27 ft, Average Depth: 4.7 ft
