The water was down about 6’ for a storm coming in. Between 6am and 9am, it was overcast with light wind out of the west. During that time, I found an area with matted grass and lily pads in roughly 2’ of water. The fish in the picture weighed 4lbs, 14oz and came out of the lily pads for a SPRO popping frog. I caught 3 smaller ones (ranging from 2 - 3.25lbs) using a Berkley popper (shad colored) around the edges of the grass mats.

Noticed some bait fish jumping around about 40 foot off shore so I decided to follow them and throw this medium diving crank towards the bait fish. Caught a couple little largemouths.
