Find a big rock pile in about 16-25 feet of water and mark it anyway you can. Get about 50-60 ft from it and make long casts at different angles. If you have graphed it and know there is fish then go to a slower technique such as a shakey head or a hair jig.

Any secondary points with rocks in big coves you are bound to catch some fish, fish what I like to call a milk run and get about 8 points and just keep hitting them (at least 3 times each) and eventually you will find a school of fish on them and once you do you will catch them every cast on a small Ned rig, swimbait, or a crankbait.

Hello all, Its the time of the year where you can make a few different choices and atill have a great outcome. I start by hitting some main lake points and making my way into the pockets making sure i pay attention to all the lay downs and small changes like large rocks(many you can see right below the surface) and secondary points no matter the size(sometimes the smaller ones get fished a lot less). For me I enjoy fishing a jerkbait and combining it with my Garmin livescope system. If you fish the bank make sure you've your garmin positioned to see the fish being pulled off the bank. Its important to watch how the fiah are reacting and if they're swinging in frint of the bait to get a better look. If you see the fish trailing or pushing in front of the bait you need to take it away while ensuring you keep the rythme in time. I like smaller quick twitches with this setup and just nake sure you keep that rod tip down after hook it and be patient if its a bigger fish. Keep a follow up bait of your choice to catch those followers.

I used a balled up piece of bread on an offset hook, on a MH rod. It put up a pretty good fight, and it loved the bread. My brother caught one with the same rig as well.
