Could not trigger much on crank baits so switched to bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses. 1.2mph in 25-35 ft was the target zone. Gold and purple blade slow death harnesses produced the most fish. Northwest of Kelley’s island.

Have had some success recently fishing shallow around pockets of reeds/buggy whips using topwater specifically. Using frogs, poppers, and other topwater to parallel the reeds has been key. Check out the hotbaits and hit the buy button

I was fishing the cover scat weightless with a Gamakatsu 3/0 Hybrid Worm Hook. Casting along dock pilings and 3' drop off ledges. I have yet to have it bottom when getting bit. It has been a very consistent bait for me. The profile looks like an injured Bluegill (to me at least). Definitely stocking up on these.

Lake Erie got a little stingy when it came to catching absolute football-sized smallmouth, so we went back to where we knew green ones would be staging to move up to spawn and caught some flipping timber! The "Lil' Magnum" jig by Beast Coast is emerging as my favorite flipping jig on the market! Hope you check them out!!
