Fun day on the water, a few nice bass in the 17"-18" range, one musky. Total of about 50 fish caught. The chatterbait, weightless wacky rig and the midwest jig all produced. The bigger fish were all near inlets to back bays.

A good day on the water for the second day of the season . Fishing around docks was good and later we drove over to the your boat club and smiths bay and it was really good. Docks were good but the roaming fish were still not eating. Looks for docks with weeds and in 6ft in the front and getting shallower toward the back of the dock. Hope this is helpful and check out the Bitsy bugs above they are great baits for covering area and fishing cover, docks, and other structure. Catch em up

Chatterbait, specifically the Z-Man Jack Hammer was key on opener. Water temps were mid to upper 60's with mixed clarity depending on what bay you were in. Fish were on weedlines and wanted to chase. Got a few on lipless and square bills but the Jack hammer outproduced everything.

The fish are bedding, getting ready to spawn. They were very aggressive today once you figure out what they were doing. They did not want to chase bait, they wanted you to jig the swim jigs. They were mostly all on beds.
