Crappies are still in the deep, but slowly staging near weed edges and drop off points. It’s been a late night bite for shore anglers. If you are on a watercraft, can find them in deep pockets and cast vMC 1/32nd oz hair jigs for them. Natural and chartreuse colors work best for them. Cast and slowly jig them back is the ticket. Once water warms up more, the crappies will become more aggressive and will readily bite almost anything thrown at them as they’ll be hungry. Check all the bays and community spots and you’ll find them.
