Took 2nd place in a little club derby throwing a floating worm and chatter bait on spawning flats. Sight fishing was tough due to being overcast plus stained water but was able to pick up a 4.68 and 3.45. Plenty of males on beds but didn’t see many females yet.

Found smaller males up on the banks in good numbers, larger females are still out deeper staging. Caught males casting to pea gravel banks. Females could be caught shooting docks under floats or could be found out roaming with FFS. Darker colors seemed to work the best for the mid lake area we were in.

Bass are in different stages of spawn. The pattern that worked for me was targeting fish in 5-6 fow. I used a shad pattern vision 110 in clear water and a provoke 106x in dirty water. Jerk- jerk pause, jerk- pause. They hit the jerk like they were MAD.

Nests under walkways from docks. Didn't find the bigger fish. Caught a lot of numbers. Should have fished jig more around the docks in deeper water. Bigger ones may have staged there. Most fish were 12-14 inches. Finished 12th of 59 and 22nd of 102. Molton Craw is a good pick as well with the Neko. Topwater was good in first hour with Spook and Buzzbait Caught 53 bass during the 8 hour tournament. Air temp was 58-75 degrees. Not much of a breeze.

Spawning fish were eating the senko blind casting, the roboworm on a drop shot will catch them off the beds. Post spawn fish on secondary points with the D Stroyer. Caught several keepers on shallow main lake points in the Glaize dragging a green pumpkin D Bomb.
