The bluegill are hitting cricket they are on fire nice slabs I had a great day on the water yesterday and the day before lake Okeechobee blue gear on fire

Fishing Weed infested flats with a plethora of bait and forage was the ticket for areas holding fish in all three phases of the spawn in February. Pitching stick baits to unseen bedding and staging bass on reed stems and casting around a swimming worm yielded bites in a variety of areas around the lake. Bladed jigs also produced good fish as well.

Stayed in the river for the most part because of wind. They were chewing though. Throwing jerk baits at all the mouths of the dams made it fun. Also fishing the humps and dips along the river side and the embankment of the dredge

Found them blowing blue gill out of the water schooling hard on the bait. Grass flat areas behind the islands. Still current producing but enough to ambush bait coming through. As fast as you could throw you could catch them. All fish ranged between 2-4lbs. Helped us build a sack for the tournament.
