Red Cedar can be a fun, yet challenging multi-species lake. With a number of islands, coves, points, and humps there always seems to be an option if the wind picks up or weekend boat traffic is bad. Or head to one of the two connected lakes for a change. Bluegill, crappie and rock bass are fairly prevalent across the lake and can be found on any defined weed line, along with hammer-handle pike. Walleye and Smallmouth can be tough to find but are present.

An A rig is a great way to catch smallmouth in the fall and I have had great success throwing this particular a rig on shallow and deep humps when smallmouth is feeding up for the winter.
