Fished a tournament in the pouring down cold rain after a week of warm weather. Bite was tough caught all 3 species of Bass (spot, largemouth and smallmouth) Bite definitely changed probably could have ran more bank with reaction and got it done. Used the new shimano mastiff line as leader material for my finesse applications an am so far happy with the performance.

Did an afternoon trip with my son for a few hours. Found fish holding on rocky banks eating the crankbait and shakyhead both well. Best smallmouth went almost 3lbs. My on caught one on a wacky rigged senko.

Fishing coves with underwater vegetation. Shad spawn was still goin and they were pinned in the coves. Use spooks and poppers edge of weeds making long casts. Great technique early and late in the day.
