Shad
Water temps were around 48-49F this past weekend. Smallies were found staging around hard bottom points. Lipless crankbaits and jerkbaits were the best producers, wind helped the bite. Shad pattern jerkbaits w/ Chart bellies worked well & Red Craw lipless baits caught better than avg quality fish. 2-8ft depth ranges

Docks
Utilize the chatterbait of your choice in 3/8 or 1/2oz depending on depth to get where you want in the water column. With the quick warm up, fish are starting to get shallow. A slow steady retrieve seems to work the best.

Rip Rap
Smallmouth and Largemouth are up tight to the rip/rap shorelines with deep water near by. Slow dragging and hopping jigs with a craw trailer have been producing during the day. Isolated boulders/structure has been key to finding larger fish! Try also throwing a spinnerbait with copper blades during the early morning/evening periods.

Reeds
Fish seem to be hanging out around reeds and emergent vegetation/structures (trees/lay downs/etc.). Casting a 1/2oz. chatterbait with an average speed retrieve and a few jerks tend to trigger bites.
