Largemouth Bass
TechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationA storm went through earlier in the week bringing in a cold front with clear, sunny skies. The bass fishing almost came to a halt. The afternoon was spent focusing on the weed line in about 11 feet of water near drop offs. The submerged point on the west side was about the only place that held somewhat consistent numbers. We were able to catch bass fan casting a Bomber crankbait running right above the submerged weeds and also a Texas rigged Bandidto Bug right below the boat. The bass seemed to be roaming around that point as the bites came in bunches.

Crappie
TechniqueFinesse Hair JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationGot into some nice Crappies while fishing for Bass. They were caught swimming small hair jigs over weeds in 8-12'.
- Species
Largemouth Bass
TechniqueWacky RigsSeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationGot on the edge of some shallow flats and used a weighted wacky rig in 4'-7' of water. Fish were pretty aggressive towards the bait. White and Watermelon worked the best. Had some luck on green pumpkin also.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationWe worked drop shot rigs through the deeper weeds - 8-12' for largemouth and smallmouth. We managed a two decent pike as well. The fish were really keyed in on the Big Bite Scentsation Smasher in Perch Dinner.

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationHad good luck fishing weed edges in about 8-10 feet of water. Caught many 2-3 lbers. Bigger fish were all found shallow in 2-5 feet around docks and lay downs.

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationBoth smallmouth bass and largemouth bass patrolling inside weedlines. Topwater poppers, wack rigs and light neds all effective tools

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueNed RigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationEarly June was the very tail end of the spawn, just few straggling bed fish. Finesse was key. Smallies and Largies from 2-15ft depths. Finding cleaner grass clumps mixed with hard bottom seem to be where to find groups of better bass. 1/8oz Ned Rigs & 1/roz Drop shots in natural produced both smallmouth & largemouth. As a back up plan, smaller largies were caught skipping stick baits around docks. Water temps were right around 70F.
