Hoot is part of the Otter Tail River diversion into a power plant located in Fergus Falls. The river enters the lake through a culvert on the north end and exits into a channel on the south connecting to Wright Lake. Follow this smallmouth superhighway and you’ll find fish located on structure throughout. Wild Rice on this lake especially.
