My tournament partner and I took a day trip out to Fork on 01/14/2023 to start scouting for a few tournaments I have coming up in February. It was a cooler day with morning temperatures in the 30's and daytime temperatures in the 50's, a slight south breeze, and sunny skies. We spent the day graphing offshore finding rock piles, points, and roadbeds in anywhere from 5 - 25 feet of water, and then decided to drag a few of them with a jig, which produced a couple of decent bites like the one pictured. The majority of our bites came in about 10 - 12 feet of water. Water visibility on the lake ranged from 6 inches to a foot, and the water temperatures ranged from 51 to 53 degrees. We didn't catch any Fork giants this time around but the bites we were getting were solid keepers. The fishing was overall pretty slow for us but you can still catch a few if you keep your head down! Good luck and tight lines!
