I do a lot of shore fishing within the isles of Phalen Lake. The smaller creek has a lot of 1lb - 2lbers laying underneath the heavy vegetation. A weightless senko or dinger worm works best. I haven't had much luck fishing on the dock of Phalen Lake. I've tried senkos, dingers, dropshots, and also swimbaits without much luck of any strike during the summer months.
