It Was an abnormally hot October day with temps in the 70s with partial cloud coverage. I wasn’t sure on how to approach a river system like this, As soon as I got to see the lake I noticed that the water is 12-15 ft low, with “do nothing banks”. I started my time on the water scanning for a bit to try to get a feel for how the lake lays out, I found a lot of sand and that’s about it. After scanning in the morning I moved to the next arm down. Here I started throwing a jerkbait and caught a couple white bass within an hour. (Those will make some crispy treats!) Soon after, I found a couple schools of smallies that seemed to be cornering bait on an inside turn. Upon seeing how I jerk my bait these smallies became unhinged and wanted to kill my Erie 95. Fun day, biggest being 3lb9oz
