On my recent trip to the Alabama River(in my backyard), we had an amazing day fishing for catfish. We were using live shed bait and Mad Katz fishing poles with Pin reels which made handling the big bites a breeze. The sweet spot for depth was around 10–12 feet, and it didn’t take long before we started reeling in some really nice catches!

Lake Eufaula is on fire right now! 🔥 and we had another good day yesterday afternoon! Bass are starting to really getting into the transition stage right now but using the Omnia pro app contours and wind direction will help put ya on them 👍🤙 A lot of solid bites came on a spinner bait around the Rip Rap near lake point. However using a black and blue jig near lay downs in Cowikee creek also produce some really good bites. Good luck and tight lines! 👍🤙

Great day fishing at Eufaula Alabama today. A lot of bites were produced using a football jog around lay downs as well as a 7.5 inch worm around lay downs and grass lines.

The fish on smith are in the backs of creeks focused on blueback herring. We found a lot of schools of spots suspended in 15-25 foot of water and could pick fish off with a mooch minnow. Shallower fish ate a spy bait and schoolers came on topwater. Fall is a fun time on Smith.

Throwing right at the edges of the weeds and just bass sitting ALL over the grass. Throw it at points at the weeds and reel right past it and you’ll have one or two.

Caught 15 fish in about 6 hours on guntersville today. Not a whole lot of size but managed to get one really good one and a few other solids. Caught fishing doing a bit of everything from punching to throwing a chatterbait and a wacky worm on docks and a little bit of scoping. Not a great day but not terrible for the fall transition. Guntersville is such a fun place to bass fish!

Temps are cooling for fall. Bass are starting to scatter. When you find one stick around there is another. Fish 8-10 feet of water submerged grass. I find that I start there and move shallow until I find the “right” depth. White Jack hammer with a Hog Farmer Spunk Shad white. Keep casting until you find them and cover water and grass flats. I’m

Guntersville in the summer means grass, and this trip it was all about the mats. We broke out the heavy rods and started punching thick hydrilla with the Berkley Stankbug. It didn’t take long before the grass started shaking — big bass were buried under there waiting. The hits were brutal, that split-second thump before they tried to bury you back in the weeds. We wrestled out some true Guntersville giants, the kind of fish that make you glad you brought the braid and a stout hook. There’s nothing like that moment when the mat erupts and a big bass comes flying out of it — Guntersville showed out, and the Stankbug got the job done.
