While flipping at timber with a jig I had set up a crappie rig to catch whatever ended up wanting to pick up a minnow. In about 6 ft of water and 5ft away from a downed tree this bass took it. Got a few more on this pattern and some crappie. Key was adjusting the float every once in a while.

I used the wacky rig in the early morning next to a point to catch 3 largemouth bass. They were hitting the worm on the way down.

The bass hit the wacky rig pretty hard tonight on the way down to the bottom. I caught 3 bass within 15 minutes of being on the dock and then in the kayak to reach some more shoreline. I will definitely be back to this lake.

Clean water, just the right amount of flow and bait fish were keys to success. Covering lots of water was how I found the fish. Once found slowing down and picking it apart yielded lots of fish.

Fished from shore targeting drop off points and what structure could be seen. Most bass were either caught 30 yards out or right next to shore. When the senko bounced on rocks it usually got picked up. Once the line started to move I gave the fish about 3 seconds to eat then a strong but not extreme hook set. I found dragging up and letting sit would get crushed the most. While there were tons of blow ups from bass I moved on, I usually do not have luck with anything other than shad presentations on schooling bass here. Find one of the many walking and fishing trails and try out a Texas rigged worm.

I took the win in the 6th IKFC tournament today. The key was to cover water. The fish were up very shallow. I was casting at the rock banks and working the bait over the tops of rocks. Many bites came after popping free from the rocks.

Throwing this near bait balls where I could see fish busting and chasing bait.

Flippin a craw tube on the edge of the reeds resulted in 20lbs of thick largemouth. Just your normal flippin. flip it up in there give it a couple hops, and if you don't get bit try it again. Biggest was just under 5

Fished a derb back in October on Green Valley. We got a horrible boat draw which resulted in the winning team sitting on my starting spot all day. Made some adjustments and just went junk fishing. Scrapped up 8lbs on a neko rig on some artificial rock piles.

Caught this 6+ on a watermelon candy slack line jig. You can check them out on Instagram or Facebook. Taking 15 or more casts to each brushpile was crucial as they fish were very lethargic from the cold front. Make sure you don't run over the pile too quick.

First time ever fishing Wisconsin and had a blast! Lost count around 60 or 70. All fish except for a small amount came off the Picasso dock rocket jig. Didn’t matter how you fished the jig, get it around the rock and you will get bit.

Kind of threw everything and the kitchen sink. Calm water and found a number of 14 - 15 inches...nothing consistent with what I was throwing. Ozark rig and rage craw, flashy underpin and freeloader, bassman spinnerbait.

Very windy. Had success by the dam with medium shallow cranks. This one came with a cast all the way to the rocks and a quick retrieve.
