Fish the grass about 6” under the surface were there are holes is were the strikes will happen. Had 28 hooks ups got 23 in boat . They range from 1 to 3 1/2 pounds.

Throw a wacky rigged Senko around submerged grass, especially around docks. The docks and grass together were the key to the bigger fish. Also caught a few smaller fish on a jerkbait

Started at the mouth of the Mulezon canal early morning from the kayak, flipping and pitchin I'mg different soft plastics, and jigs and had no luck. Fished all the way down the to the rocks almost to the boat launch trying different colors. Then started fishing my way back towards the lake and mouth of the canal with ghost shad swimbait after lunch and caught 4lb-er on 2nd cast. After that caught 4 more and the from 5pm till dark it was on. Caught 4 more fishing top water with a white and chartreuse feet Ribbet Frog. All bass caught were over 1 1/2lbs!
