Bite was really slow at first. I was dragging, stroking swimming and hopping it. All with not much success , then I got interrupted burning one back in, and as soon as I stopped it, I got trucked by this 4.8 pounder. After this, I went on about a two week stretch, blistering them with that technique. Almost like you would a hair jig, burn it and then pause and almost every time they'd get it on the pause, I did pick up a couple on the intentional burn too but I think those were either aggressive fish or competitive feeding fish. I tried a couple of different trailers, thinking a little more action or slower drop with more drag may get some more bites, but honestly the more do nothing the trailer was the better they would get it.
