Targeting off shore humps that were between 14-17 feet deep. Some of those humps/high spots were out offshore and then others were along the shoreline. I had the best results targeting the humps that were offshore that had submerged vegetation clumps on them. Usually when fishing offshore humps like this I like to make long casts to the other side of hump and then drag jig back to me maintaining bottom contact. But for these specific humps that have grass on them, that was not the most efficient way to fish them. To get the bites, I had to present jig in a vertical way by pitching jig out there and letting it sink to bottom. Once it was on bottom, I had to be patient and let it soak there for a little bit while giving it subtle twitches with my rod tip. Doing that causes that bronco bug trailer to hinge and perform at its best. When I was presenting my jig in this way, I was not getting fouled up in the grass and I was able to make a multitude of efficient presentations to the bass that were tucked up in that grass. Overall: - Find some offshore humps with your electronics that have clumps of grass on them that are in about 15-20 feet of water. - Get tight to the hump itself and make short pitches to present jig in a vertical way. - Let jig hit bottom and give it some subtle twitches for about 10 seconds, if no bites, reel jig in and do another presentation to another spot on that hump. - Bites came while I was dead sticking jig

Targeting 3-12 feet of depth on main lake points. Points needed to have a combination of flooded brush and chunk rock along with having a topography of a long slow 45 degree tapering point that extends out into deep water. Fish were suspended up in the water column & were chasing baits that stayed up above their heads. Finding that combination of flooded brush and chunk rock on a slow tapering point was the most important part.

Bass are keying in on schooling bait fish. Casting along the vegetation lines, mid-depth, with a slow steady retrieve worked well for me. Underspins are excellent this time of year. Tight lines!

The color used is Junebug for the Flux Gill, and the closest option was Tonic. Tonic works well too! I ran this on a Modified Mepps Aglia #3 weedless along the top of grass. No bites until I got it in the grass a bit and he hammered it! Adjust the retrieve to get the depth you want. Slower cranks it gets deeper. In this case I was cranking and pasting in the top of the grass and that got him fired up. You can also just slowly drag it on the bottom. The fish will see the blade flash just a bit as it twitches being dragged on the bottom. Do this along the edge of a weed line so it kicks up a bit of a dust cloud here and there. In

I was fishing over some grass mats and I rigged this up with a Mepps number three Aglia weedles rigged.I ran a nice and easy cranking pace. I’d kill it then crank and then kill it then crank and he just came up and blasted the lure. I run a modified Mepps where I put a weedless hook on there and it works out really well, I can also do it with an exposed hook. With the exposed hook I run a 2/0 straight shank rebarb hook. I used Sunline 12lb braid to a Sunline 12lb fluro leader, which allows this setup to flow super smooth.

This lure catches fish all over the place for me! It comes through grass nicely and the fish hammer it! I caught this one bringing the lure up and out of the grass and then over it. I normally yo-yo it if it’s a hard bottom, but with grass I just do a steady retrieve with some pauses and twitches. Set up was a Lews Speed Spin 300 on a St. Croix Victory, with 12lb Sunline braid to a Sunline 12lb fluro leader

Caught this biggun on a Booyah Super Shad quad spinner fishing laydowns. Couldn’t find that actual bait or rod on this platform for some reason but I was also using a Shimano Curado Dc 7.4:1 on a 7’3” MH Daiwa Laguna. Running 15lb braid to a 15lb fluorocarbon leader tied with an FG. All YoZuri line.

Caught some decent fish today on a Denny Brauer Structure Jig 3/4 oz on the edges of the grass line in about 4-6ft of water. Also had luck with a Drop Shot around standing timber in about 12-16ft of water. Strike King Dream Shot. Owner Cover Shot 1/0 hook , 3/8oz Drop Shot Cylinder weight. 10lb Seaguar Flourocarbon Leader.

Throw a wacky rigged Senko around submerged grass, especially around docks. The docks and grass together were the key to the bigger fish. Also caught a few smaller fish on a jerkbait

I was fishing a shallow area off a point that goes from 2 feet down to 16 feet. I ran the Berkley just off the drop off and he came up and smoked it! This was on the third pass through there. I had a Berkley Power Stinger in matching color as a trailer. The tail on that Power Stinger looks like a bait fish tail 100%. The two paired up are a top notch Pro quality system that catches fish! Give it a try as there are lots of color options to choose from!

Started off early morning with my new Megabass Giant Dog-X, close to the ramp I launched from. I was fishing a flat with some grass, it was close to a deep chanel and some boat docks. You could see the bait fish hitting the surface like they were being chased. We stopped and wham, the top water bite was on. Once the sun started hitting the spot, they quit the walking/top water baits and we started catching them on Strike King Rage Swimmers on Dirty Jig underspin's. It was a very fun morning.
