Fish were located at secondary points in the middle of creeks. Better fish were caught off the Lucky Craft LV-500 by ripping and the fish would hit it on the pause. Also used jerkbaits to locates the fish the the bass hitting that on the pause. Best bite was 6:15-11 with the bite being tough in the afternoon.

The day was blue bird with a light breeze, the hydrilla was still alive and green. What the bass do is, tuck up under a grass ledge and wait for forage to pass by to ambush. I matched the hatch and found clear paths in the hydrilla where I can cast and work the bait to the fish. A twitch pause retrieve with the cooler water temperatures was the perfect combo that allowed me to land two very healthy bass

Cold front came through dropping morning temp from 60 to 45 overnight. Sky was mostly clear. Best bite was early and aorund shade line when sun came up. Individual stumps using a whopper popper. When the sun got higher and most shade was lost, drop shot around bridges became better. Docks were not productive.

Water has cooled considerably and the grass is starting to die. Fished from the mouth of Belmont Bay to Occoquan Regional park. Started with spinnerbait/chatterbait in the submerged grass and a frog in the floating mats. Also threw a buzz bait around the mats. Got a few swirls on the frog, but no serious hits. Only bites came on slow swim worm and shake head. Previous night was near full moon with clear skies. Fishing weather was low 70 degree air temp, bluebird skies. Bites were few and far between. Bait seems to be pushing well back into the Occoquan river.

Focused on docks and rocky banks on the main lake at the mouths of creeks and guts most of my bites came from skipping the jig under the dock letting it hit bottom hop it 2 or 3 times an slowly draging it out from under the dock all in all a very tough day 3days of pressure from big bass tour definitely showed itself as the weights and amounts of big fish cought on Saturday were cut in half

Caught the early morning topwater bite throwing buzz toads overtop of submerged Hydrilla. Caught the tide wrong, but I landed 4 before the bite turned off.
