Tough to beat a big fast meal this time of year. I’m pitching this setup into holes in milfoil and they’re chewing it!

Dragging a baby dozer around with flippin delight or baby rage on the back is killer. Target boulders in 8-15 feet of water.

With the Hayabusa FPP HD, I am able to dissect heavier cover and drag bigger fish out of it without worrying about the integrity of the hook I’m using. When paired with the Reins Punching Predator it’s extremely effective around grass and hard cover.

Evening session in the yak. Calm water and air temp in low 60’s. Shallow sandy bottom at junction of creek feeding into the main pond. Threw a Texas Rig using a 3/16 weight (not pegged) and a 5 inch Yum Dinger (camo color). Slowly dragged and hopped it along with short pauses in between. Hooked up with a solid largie (2+ pounds). Used spinning gear and moss green braid (Powerpro 15 lb) to fluorocarbon leader (Seaguar 10 lb) with Gamakatsu EWG hook (2/O). My first bass using my new kayak!

Early morning fishing from a dock at Point Au Roche State Park. Ned rigs were catching smaller bass steadily. Switched to a 6-1/2 Zman worm on a shakey head. The bite dropped off a bit, but produced much larger bass.

Fishing a stretch of the Great Chazy River (tributary of Lake Champlain). This section is below a dam and upstream of shallow rapids. The riverbed is mostly bedrock with boulders lining the shore. The water level varied between 6" - 24". This stretch of river holds bass that are flooded downstream when the floodgates open. The area is highly pressured and the bite can often be disappointing. I fished a Zman TicklerZ in green pumpkin on ML tackle and had better success than I've had all year in this location. Not only did I catch 3x more fish than normal, I only used one bait the entire evening. Zman products simply hold up to the abuse.
