Fishing the Chattahoochee feeding Lake Lanier where the water temps are a bit lower and the viability was poor. Colorado blades helped the fish locate the bait for some good bites.

Night fishing on Nottley for largemouth. Found them on a mixture of baits, but most of the good ones came on spinnerbaits and Texas rigged worms tighten against banks.

Got on some largemouth in shallow brush with the chicken rig. We were seeing them up in shallow pockets, all the way up to a foot or less of water chasing shad. By midafternoon most everything that would bite was tucked on the bottom. We’d see free roaming fish on scope but they didn’t show interest in most things we threw that wasn’t on the bottom.

Look for brush piles on main lake points. Position the boat with the nose in to the wind and scan the brush piles using your FFS to locate the bass. Position the boat a little less that a full cast from the brush piles using as you will want to cast past it and bring your bait to the brush. Once you make contact with the brush, work your bait nice and slow. Alternate between the shakey head and a Texas rig. Most brush will give up about 3 fish before you need to move. Don’t forget to check back on the brush you catch your fish on to get a good rotation as they will load back up.

Points
Flat rocky point off the main lake in about 3 feet of water. It was a slow morning but if you're methodical and patient, it'll pay off in the end.

Rock piles in 35 feet of water. Few bounces over the boulders and he crushed it on the hop. They've been killing the finesse jigs when nothing else works.

Pulling a jig slowly through brush, giving it a good hop/pop once you come over a branch. Patience is key. Some days they want the smaller presentations, other days they don't. It's been working all summer for me so far.

Went fishing off my dock near Yellowjacket one evening and caught my new personal best (7 lbs). Caught it using a weighted Texas rigged senko.

Went fishing for a little bit around midday caught one bass on a Texas rig senko under some docks near Yellowjacket. Then caught another near Holiday Park at a point. Found a hole about 40ft deep, but didn't have enough time to fish it.

Most fish have moved to deeper water, but I managed to pull a few out pitching a fitness jig around laydowns and slowly working it back to the bank.

As temps warm, we're finding bass tucked up in any shady structure they can find. Near points, close to drop offs, or on structure in the deeper holes. Finesse jigs work well this time of year, as does a larger Texas rig or even Carolina rig for the deeper spots.
