Got to the lake in the late afternoon once the heat started to settle down. Caught some smaller bass with a wacky rig on boat docks. A few of them coughed up crawfish with orange on the belly. Tied on a lil' magnum and put a flippin' delight on. Caught about 15 more in the next couple of hours on isolated humps with grass on it.

It was a hot and humid day and could not get a bite. I tied on this finesse spinnerbait with a strobe shaker as a trailer and slow rolle ditch around some brush until I got a bite.

Went out for a derby on Tippy Lake. First 3 hours it was raining so a Berkley Choppo worked pretty good for a while on flats close to canals. Once that morning bite died, off I backed out to fish break lines and points. Caught about 30 bass with a dropshot and a jig. Biggest fish of the day came on a Berkley Swamp Lord in the pads.

Fished the Zoom Monster worm in 9 to 12 feet of water. Let it hit bottom, then lift it a couple feet and fall back to the bottom.

It was a clear cooler morning with blue skies, and I was fishing off a point. I wasn't noticing too much movement in the water, so I figured I would try a finesse presentation and throw the ol wacky worm around. I tied on a vmc neko hook and a yum dinger and started casting around some brush piles and laydowns. It was not long before I saw my line start swimming to the side, so I set the hook, and to my surprise, a decent bass was on the other end. It was a fun fight to get him in on, but I'm glad I was able to.

It was a cool day with a strong breeze, and the water had a little ripple on it. I was casting around a bit and saw a decent amount of fry and bait swimming off this point. I tried some topwater with no effect , so I switched it up to a moving bait. I almost had the bait to the bank when this fish hit my lure like a ton of bricks.

It is a cool, windy day, and I was fishing off a point around some submerged vegetation. I was popping the bellows shad in and out of the weeds and dragging it around the edges. I cast it one more time, and I felt the bite.

Bluegill crankbait around wood landed me one of my best tournaments of the season on Boggs. Tossing around laydowns caught fish most of the day and I finished in the Top 5 again some of the state's top hammers.

Fish were burried in the pads and slop. It was a grind , had to really soak baits to get bit. Ended up with 9lbs on the day .

It was a hot day in the 90s mild breeze and lots of bugs landing on top of the water. The water had a mild stain with about 2 feet visibility. I saw a few bass cruising the banks but didn't want to commit to anything moving. I decided I needed a finesse approach, so I wacky rigged a yum dinger and got to work. I was fishing off a point with a steep drop off and after a few pops I got a bite.

It was a windy, cool day with a lot of chop on the water. Fishing in the wind sometimes is a struggle in itself, but I couldn't pass up the nice day. I was trying all kinds of lures before I tied on a chatterbox Evo and started casting around some laydowns. I felt the bite and then set the hook and reeled him in. I was never a big chatterbait fisherman, but I picked up some evos and have been really trying to get my confidence up in them, and it finally paid off.
