Bite has been slow the last week or so. I caught this one using a neko rig using the VMC Crossover Ring. I used a big 11" Xzone floating worm to get this bite. Love the VMC Crossover Ring. You can position your hook two different ways to fit your fishing technique.

Mostly smaller bass 3/4 lb to 1 1/2lb. Nichols flapjack trailer. Also on wacky rig, spook, and underspin. Junk fishing, couldn't really get a pattern going. All up shallow, from a kayak.

Caught on an all purple worm but couldn't choose that in the hot baits dropdown. Dropshot along the dropoff from the Y camp area towards the center channel.

Caught this nice largemouth (3lbs. 5oz) on a Zman jackhammer 3/8th oz. chatterbait using a paddle tail for a trailer. Rod is a St.Croix Legend Elite casting rod paired with Daiwa tatula elite casting reel 7.1. Great combo for cranking. I'm really impressed with the Daiwa tatula elite casting reel. I think it's the best reel in that price range.

Caught this one (3lbs 4oz) on a drop shot in submerged vegetation. The rod and reel set-up I'm using is perfect for finesse fishing. Nice combo for the price range. Really like the Vmc spin shot hooks. Keeps your line from twisting when using drop shot and keeps your bait in perfect position.

Caught this fat hog on a point that has a bunch of rock piles. She weighed 3lbs. 9oz. The Dobyns extreme casting rod is a really nice rod for cranking. Paired with the Daiwa zillion casting reel it's one of my favorite setups. Spro rock crawler 55 diving crankbait is awesome for this job.

17lb6oz best 5. Had to run the bait as close to pad edge as possible sometimes under the leading edge of the pads to get under the shade line. Wampatuck pond

Caught a bass early in the night, really gave me false hope. Spent the next 3 hours chucking and winding and bagged one more little guy. Almost called it quits, made one last stop before going home, chatterbait over weeds pulled in this chunk.

Shallow, within 2' of the bank where the depth drops fast. The bass hit the bait almost as soon as the bait hit the water.

This was an interesting night session. I’ve only fished this reservoir twice, but I’ve been able to catch some real quality each time. In this particular session there were an abundance of locals on the water, all reporting very slow action. I however, seemed to clean house with this combo. Caught about a dozen largemouth and a single chain pickerel setting myself off the end of sharper points and casting along the sides, running my bait as deep as possible.
