Fishing the pads around the boatyard proved to be very effective. Lots of good bass in there with a few biggins mixed in.

Caught this big girl hanging out between two large boulders on the edge of a rock pile. Fish was in 12’ of water, rock pile was on a drop off to 30’. Was able to drop in front of her with livescope and a little dancing of the jig was all it took.

Fished submerged grass in the rain utilizing livescope in 5-15’ of grass. Targeting thicker clumps of grass. Flipping short casts and working bait fast. Had a good shot at winning the tournament before our trolling motor gave out half way through the day so had to use big motor to position ourselves. Ended day with 24.6lbs

Heat wave this past week followed by thunderstorms caused by leading edge of hurricane put fish back into summer pattern. Found majority of fish in 8-12’ of water hugging bottom in submerged grass with hard bottom. Caught this particular fish on the edge of that grass at a large dock in a dark shadow. Last week these fish were all deep in the shallow grass/reeds in 70* water temps. Heading into this tournament I started there on day one and quickly had to learn to adapt back towards summer patterns. Slow working a jig with short casts into the grass and a lot of them did the trick on day 2.

Stormfront was about to roll through but that didnt stop us for a quick evening trip on the lake. Flipped a texas rigged creature around offshore shallow rock pile. Then as it started to get dark, hit a lily pad field with the stanley top toad before calling it a night.

Rod and reel combo is correct. Bait used was Bizz Baits Bizzbug in June bug. Z craw would have caught them too. Flipping pads at edge of a drop off.

Quickly one of my favorite ways to fish because it simply catches em! Utilizing the power rod with a finesse presentation. Your able to quickly and efficiently get the bait down around those bigger lazy post spawn fish without spooking them away. Hope this helps you boat some bigger fish like it did for me! Shout out Woo!

Using this bait combination on top of submerged vegetation the bass can’t stand it. It has to be breezy to slightly windy and it’s game on! Just slowly retrieve and agitate the tops of the vegetation and hold on for that reaction strike! Good luck! This lake easily has a 3+ lb average size.

Mostly largemouth and a few smallmouth. Fish were over weeds and hit the Neko rigs either on the fall or dead sticked. Had fish also on the inside weedline hitting our swimjigs with chigger craw trailer. Most fish weighed in between 1.5 -2 lbs. Had a few in the 2.5 lb range too.

Went to Alamoosook for the first time. Went mid fished earlier in the morning with June bug baits and got a couple hits. But the real action happened when I found some shallow waters and switched to green pumpkin. Got 2 largies and two pickerel. The fights were amazing, having to pull them through the growth and weeds.
